Travel back to the 1830's and visit a "day hotel" where New Yorkers came for a day of rest and relaxation in the country. Take a guided tour through eight period rooms, featuring early 19th-century furniture and artifacts, and compare the lives of the hotel guests with the workers who took care of them. Explore the Orientation Room and its changing exhibits. Spend time in the Children's Corner where our youngest visitors can dress up in reproduction clothing and pretend to perform chores in a replica of the historic kitchen. Afterward, enjoy the tranquility of our landscaped garden.
