Mt. Madonna YMCA - Off-Site Programs. YMCA of Silicon Valley is a volunteer-led public charity that works collaboratively with community partners to improve the lives of children, adults, families, and the entire community. Our purpose is to strengthen and enrich the development of individuals and families through quality programs and services that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. Integral to everything that we do are our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our association of YMCAs serves people of all backgrounds, ages, capabilities and income levels, providing financial assistance to those in need. YMCA funding is generated from membership and program fees, individual and corporate donors, foundations and grants, and the United Way of Silicon Valley. The annual Community Support Campaign raises money for financial assistance to ensure that no one is turned away for lack of funds in an atmosphere of inclusion and support. The expansion of local facilities is done through the YMCA Capital Development Campaign, contributing to the health and well-being of residents throughout the surrounding areas. YMCA of Silicon Valley is a nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The YMCA Board of Directors sets policy and oversees activities of the entire Association. In addition, each of the YMCA locations throughout the YMCA of Silicon Valley is governed by its own Board of Managers.
