    Founded in 1957, the Northwest Railway Museum is the largest railway museum in Washington State and welcomes over 90,000 visitors each year. The museum offers antique train excursions through the Upper Snoqualmie Valley. Additional public programs, like Santa Train®, School Train, Day Out With Thomas™, and Snoqualmie Railroad Days are part of the museum’s yearly calendar. The museum’s collection of railway artifacts and equipment is significant and includes over 70 examples of locomotives, passenger and freight cars, and specialized railway equipment. The Northwest Railway Museum is centered in the Snoqualmie Depot, recognized as the oldest continuously operated train station in Washington State. The Train Shed Exhibit Building at the Railway History Center campus is available for scheduled tours on Saturdays April - October.     Santa Train

    It’s that “ho, ho, ho” season and Santa Train tickets sell out fast! Don’t miss your chance to experience this unique holiday tradition that has been going on in Snoqualmie for 47 years. For eight days, beginning November 25, families can take a holiday train excursion aboard Santa Train to visit Santa Claus at the historic Snoqualmie Depot. Children and their families will enjoy music, fresh-baked cookies from coal-fired ovens, hot cocoa and fresh coffee, and a small gift for each child. The two-hour holiday celebration takes place November 25-26, December 2-3, December 9-10, and December 15-16. December 15 is a special Victorian Santa Train complete with Father Christmas!

    Northwest Railway Museum is offering full passenger service aboard its vintage railway each Saturday and Sunday through October 28th. The Museum will offer scenic rides through the Cascade Foothills to the top of Snoqualmie Falls. Round-trip excursions are 75-minutes long. Board in Snoqualmie, 38625 SE King Street, 12:01 p.m., 1:31 p.m. or 3:01 p.m., or in North Bend, 205 McClellan Street, 12:31 p.m. or 2:01 p.m., $10 children, $12 seniors, $15 adults, under 2 ride free.
    ~NEW: Guided tours of the Train Shed Exhibit Building are being offered on the first two trains most Saturdays and Sundays*. Purchase a Tour Pass in the Depot Bookstore and ride the train to the Railway History Center. Enjoy a docent-led tour of the exhibits in the Train Shed. Re-board the train and continue your trip. *Tours are not available during special events like Fathers Ride Free, Day Out With Thomas and Santa Train®.

    All aboard! Visit the Northwest Railway Museum for a unique living history experience that has been a part of western Washington since 1957.
    Northwest Railway Museum visitors can catch a train to another time where they experience how railroads influenced settlement and everyday life in Washington State. Full passenger round- trip excursions are 75 minutes long and begin on Saturday, April 5th. Each Saturday and Sunday through October*, the Northwest Railway Museum offers scenic rides through the Cascade Foothills to the top of Snoqualmie Falls. Visitors explore train cars, exhibits, and a Victorian-era depot while following in the footsteps of more than 1 million travellers who have passed through its doors since 1890. They also experience travel before the age of Interstate highways while seeing, riding and feeling the excitement of a working railroad with all of its bells and whistles. Regular trains operate weekends beginning April 5th and run through October 19th. Passengers board the train in Snoqualmie, 38625 SE King Street, at 12:01 p.m., 1:31 p.m. or 3:01 p.m., or in North Bend, 205 McClellan Street, at 12:31 p.m. or 2:01 p.m. Admission is: $10 children, $15 seniors, $18 adults, under 2 ride free.     Santa Train

    Create special memories with a train excursion to visit Santa! For over forty years, Northwest families have made Santa Train, at the Northwest Railway Museum in Snoqualmie, a highlight of their holiday season. For eight days beginning November 29, families can board a holiday Santa Train to visit Santa Claus at the historic Snoqualmie Depot. During each two-hour holiday excursion, children and their families will enjoy music, fresh-baked cookies from the coal-fired ovens of the museum’s historic Kitchen Car, hot cocoa and fresh coffee, a small gift for each child and of course a visit with jolly old Saint Nick. Santa Train excursions are available on November 29-30, December 6-7, December 13-14 and December 19, 20. There are seven hourly departures to choose from 9am to 3pm.
    Santa Train tickets sell out, so don’t miss out. Tickets may be purchased online (www.trainmuseum.org) or in person beginning on September 15th at the Snoqualmie Depot (38625 SE King Street, Snoqualmie, WA 98065) now. Beginning September 22nd tickets may also be purchased over the telephone at 425-888-3030 x7202. Tickets are $20 per person for ages 2 and older. Purchasing tickets early is recommended to help assure that guests can get their preferred choice of date and time.

    Train Excursion Season 2016

    It’s Not Just A Train Ride at the Northwest Railway Museum this train season! Beginning on the weekend of April 2-3, visitors can explore more of the Museum’s collection as most* train excursions will include a stop at the Train Shed exhibit building in 2016. With a call of “All aboard!” Northwest Railway Museum visitors can step back in time and experience rail travel as it used to be aboard historic railway cars. Docent-led premier tours are also offered on the first and third Saturdays of each month. The train excursions and tours give visitors a glimpse back in time to discover how railroads influenced settlement and everyday life in Washington State.
    Round- trip excursions are two hours long and begin on Saturday, April 2. Each Saturday and Sunday through October*, the Northwest Railway Museum offers scenic rides through the Cascade Foothills to the top of Snoqualmie Falls.
